Jason Read is a former American rower who competed in the men's eight event at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and won a gold medal. He also won gold in the same event at the 2003 and 2002 World Rowing Championships and a silver medal at the 2005 Championships. Read retired from rowing in 2008 and became a coach at a rowing club in Philadelphia. He is currently the head coach at Temple University's rowing program.
